VO2 compensation 

For this calculation, you need to compensate for the volume of O2 consumed by the animal.   This can be done indirectly using a fixed RQ value. 

If you have % O2 (as deflection from ambient, i.e, baselined) or you have already calculated VO2 in ml/min, you can compensate directly.
